Patient Support at Waterbury Hospital
Patient Advocates provide a wide range of services from information on hospital services, to wheeling patients out the door and everything in between. Use your skills to help your community get healthy and stay healthy. Greeting, and directing visitors and patients to correct service areas. Assisting professional/skilled staff with clerical duties. Visiting patients,assisting with any problems or needs they may have, providing information on general hospital procedure. Providing a calm presence,information and assistance in the ER. Transporting patients for discharge or scheduled tests. Assist in the gift shop. Clerical support or information dissemination through local outreach center.

Skills necessary include:
- Patient advocacy
- General skills
- Fluency in English, Spanish, Portuguese or another language
- Ability to use sign language
Must be at least 55 years of age. Three personal references.
