Deadline to apply for energy assistance has been extended; benefits increased
The deadline to apply for the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) has been extended until Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Income and asset restrictions still apply.
In addition, benefits have been increased for utility heat customers in the amount of $140. If you heat with a deliverable fuel you may be eligible to receive one additional safety net. Please note that this increase in benefits is not applicable to those families determined eligible for a $100.00 utility basic benefit (CHAP) or a deliverable fuel award delivery of $400.00 (CHAP).
