Meriden Summer Basketball League

New Opportunities of Greater Meriden (NOGM) manages Meriden’s Summer Basketball League for boys and girls, ages 9 to 19, which runs for six weeks during July and August. The program is designed to promote positive development and improved self-esteem for up to 250 at-risk youngsters while they also have fun and enjoy altogether more than 100 summer games.

Applications are taken from late spring through the end of June. During those weeks applicants should bring their applications directly to the NOGM office on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 3 and 5:30 p.m. Those interested in joining will be interviewed by a NOGM staff member at that time. Prospective basketball players should not mail or drop off an application and then leave as the interview is part of the application process.
