In-The-Making

In-The-Making provides employment opportunities for women in the greater Waterbury areaIn-The-Making is a twelve week job training program for unemployed, or under-employed, women in the greater Waterbury area.

The In-The Making program is designed to help participants develop the work and living skills needed to become self-sufficient, while addressing barriers to employment such as transportation, childcare, education and housing.

In-The-Making’s Assembly Center provides a skilled and flexible workforce for employers who need help with:

  • Assembly
  • Sorting
  • Inspecting
  • Packaging
  • Collating
  • Custom-Tasking
  • and much more

Located in Waterbury, the center makes possible highly supervised, part-time employment for its employees who work from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, for minimum wage. Contracts with local companies or organizations may be for on-going or as-needed work, either on or off-site.

Manufacturing companies and businesses within proximity of Waterbury can find a low-cost, efficient and high-quality workforce through In-The-Making that can benefit their bottom line. The program has repeatedly filled a niche for regional companies since its inception in 1998 by supplying an array of services at reasonable cost.
