HOOPS4LIFE

HOOPS4LIFE is a summer basketball program for boys and girls, ages 10 to 17 who live in the greater Waterbury area. The program runs from July through September, with games held on two evenings during the week.

HOOPS4LIFE is designed to provide student-athletes with life skills and athletic opportunities while instilling the following values in participants:

• Integrity in all aspects of behavior. The highest sense of integrity shall characterize every aspect of policy, performance and programs.
• Leadership in individual and team achievements, an intense pride and loyalty and a commitment to "give back" to the community.

HOOPS4LIFE believes in giving participants a firm foundation in developing the  individual skills required to be a strong basketball player. Equally important, our staff of volunteer coaches and certified officials teach players to use these skills effectively as a team.

The HOOPS4LIFE program emphasizes teamwork, building fundamental skills and developing character. Parents play a significant role in the HOOPS4LIFE program. We encourage open communication between parents, the director, and coaching staff to ensure that any concerns parents may have about their child are addressed.

Through HOOPS4LIFE we hope to achieve our dream of providing healthy, safe, challenging activities to area youth that will help guide them toward their fullest potential as athletes and as valued citizens of our communities. We want our athletes to enjoy the experience, learn how to be cooperative members of a team and be better people for having been involved in our program.
