Etta Royster
Etta Royster is the Director of Community Services at New Opportunities. Her background includes over forty-six years experience in human services, and over two decades of senior leadership experience.
Etta began her career with New Opportunities working as Assistant Manager of the Need-Action Federal Credit Union. Later, Etta progressed into a role as Housing Director and Rental Assistant Program Director before being promoted to Director of Community Services.
Today, Etta is responsible for the agency's portfolio of community service and health programs, intake and case management services, as well as the Torrington and Thomaston satellite offices. She also serves as Director of Camp Layton Rose - a summer camp for children.
Etta has been an active member within the community. Etta was the Founding Member of the National Political Congress of Black Women's regional chapter. She was also a Past Matron and Chapter Officer for the Calisto Chapter, Order of Eastern, PHA.
Etta earned a Master of Human Services and a Bachelor of Human Services from New Hampshire College.
